I recently was taking back-of-the-napkin style notes on an old WEB 2.0 (i think early 08?) brochure and saw a face i didnt recognize in the highlighted speakers:
Among the likes of Arianna Huffington (Huffington Post founder) and Jay Adelson (digg.com CEO) i saw a new face to me, Clay Shirky (listed as of Shirky.com).
I checked out his site which was outdated but linked me to his new blog for a book he recently wrote. In the blog i found what i now label as the best social media article i have read in 2008:
